DISCUSS:
1. Have you ever focused more on the crucifixion of Jesus than on his resurrection? What changed that emphasis for you?
2. When did you realize the importance of the resurrection of Jesus in your life? What did that enlightenment look like for you?
3. With what part of sin do you most identify? Is it using it as a coping mechanism, defense mechanism, for making sense of life, to escape from difficulties in life, or something else?
4. Have you ever had a moment in your life where you experienced what Saint Augustine he said, “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you”? What comes to your mind when you hear these words?
5. What might it look like to live this week as “life resurrected” and how would it look different than your life last week?
6. Have you or someone you know been a great example of dying to their old self, and being raised as a new creation in Christ Jesus? Share about that resurrection.
PRAY: Thank you, my Father, for freeing me from sin through the death of your Son. I praise you for providing a way for me to move ahead through surrendering my life to you. Please help me to live a life that looks forward to my resurrection so that I may enjoy life in heaven with you forever. Please help me today to start on a new trajectory of living my life as resurrected. Amen.
